COUNTERSTRIKE CONTROLS AND MOUSE
Many players setup their controls this way shown in the screen shots. It's
important to set up your controls for your preference. Keep in mind though
players set up these controls this way for a reason, you might want to as
well.
For example. You should have your important binded radio messages right by
your right and left strafing for easy fast access. Many players setup their
strafing a = left d = right. Many players that know how to type well will bind a
= left f = right since they are the furthest right and left home keys. This will
leave the s or d key open for moving backward as well as a important radio
message like Enemy Spotted. This will give you an instantaneous message without
any loss of time moving your finger.
Default settings for walk and crouch are well placed. However if you are
using counter script you should use the toggle options.
Setting controls for your mouse is a matter of preference. It is important to
know many good players put their mouse sensitivity between 3-6 with no
acceleration or mouse smoothing.
Mouse smoothing is good for moving around but not necessarily for aiming.
Your mouse should move your crosshairs to a target and stay their not slide
around at all.
Some players like to use this rule when setting up their mouse sensitivity.
You should be able to have your mouse on the furthest side of your mouse pad
right or left. In the game you should be facing one direction then move that
mouse over completely to the other side and you should be back to your original
position. Many players like to make their returning point falling short just a
little bit since you have strafing keys. This maximizes accuracy and
movement.
Many expert players like to set their mouse sensitivity so low that if they
want to turn around they have to jump and physically pick up their mouse off the
pad putting it back down on the furthest side of their mouse pad and then drag
their mouse again. Some players even modify their mouse.
Buying fast is key to getting to choke points in time for a fair advantage or
upper hand. Many players like to bind their keys to buy single weapons and ammo
instead of packages. Sometimes if you don't have enough money for the whole
package you will still make a purchase. You will only receive some items though
but maybe not the ones you want. For example if you might get a sniper rifle but
be lacking armor and a pistol. As many players know not getting armor is a big
disadvantage.
Just bind the quick by keys however you want, just keep it simple
though.
